Our Services

what is a cord tissue?

Researchers are still exploring the countless possible cord tissue banking benefits. When we talk about cord tissue, we mean the actual material encasing the blood vessels. Wharton’s jelly insulates the cord blood, which boasts its own wealth of resources. Instead of HSCs, cord tissue produces mesenchymal stem cells (or MSCs). These can become bone, skin, cartilage, muscle, and fat cells. (2)

stem cell storage

Your babies stem cells will be stored in the UK in our own secure site in Liverpool. You can choose to store them in one location or for extra security split them across two locations.

what is a cord BLOOD?

Cord blood is the blood that remains in the placenta and umbilical cord following the birth of a baby. It is rich in blood stem cells similar to those found in bone marrow, which can be used to treat many different cancers, immune deficiencies and genetic disorders. (1)
